People With Disabilities WA (PWD) , the State's peak consumer disability advocacy group, The Kalparrin Centre for parents and families of children with a disability, the Ethnic Disability Advocacy Centre and Headwest, are the agencies providing information and assistance through Disability FirstStop. Services Provided
Disability First Stop provides:
- Information over the telephone, from email and face-to-face
- Access to web based information covering a broad range of contacts appropriate to the initial phase post diagnosis
- Supported referral to relevant services
- Provision of professional advocacy support
- Linking to people who have similar personal experiences
